On October 7, the demonstrator of the SINK.CARBON research project was presented to the public.
This project aims to keep wood-hybrid building elements in the cycle for as long as possible and thus create a real CO₂ sink.
In cooperation with our partners Handler Bau, Wood K Plus and the BOKU Vienna A modular system was developed that is geared towards maximum recyclability and ecological benefit.
The demonstrator, which will be at the Handler company's site in Neutal until November, will then be dismantled and rebuilt at our research partner Wood K Plus in Tulln. Here, the modular system will be further demonstrated with modified room proportions.
We are pleased to be able to contribute to climate-friendly construction with this innovative approach and to help shape future construction methods.
